Air beds come in two main styles. First, there are AeroBeds and air mattresses with AC pumps that plug into your household electrical outlet—these are designed for indoor use.
These models are a great choice for a guest bed, or even for your own nightly use. Other air beds are made with rechargeable pumps, and these are great for camping, backpacking, and other adventures that might take you far away from the nearest electrical outlet. Rechargeable pumps will fill an air mattress bed several times between charges.

Standard / AC PumpAir beds with an AC pump are the most convenient solution for indoor use; simply plug the pump into any standard household outlet, and inflate your air mattress in seconds.
